Summary Description:
 This position is responsible for serving as the technical point of contact for clients, helping to ensure timely delivery of the highest quality renewable energy forecasts in the industry, and participating in statistical validation of 3TIERʼs forecasts. This position works in a collaborative environment as a member of the forecasting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
» Works with 3TIERʼs renewable energy forecasting team to deliver high-quality forecasts on time.
» Obtains input from client and creates, prepares, and delivers technical reports to clients, which includes technical analysis.
» Determines necessary operational changes to companyʼs software system and implements necessary change.
» Serves as technical point of contact for client, providing technical expertise and knowledge.
» Interfaces directly with the client, attending meetings for sales purposes and technical discussions.
» Makes decisions based on client questions and requests that may change the scope of the 3TIER product.
» Develops technical training materials and conducts training sessions for clients with regards to 3TIERʼs forecasting products.
» Participates in statistical validation of 3TIER forecasts.
» Analyzes, studies, and reports on the accuracy of 3TIERʼs forecasts.
» Sets up new forecast sites, incorporates client data, and makes ongoing forecast improvements using programming skills in 3TIERʼs state-of-the-art forecasting system.
» Responds to client requests and troubleshoots problems with forecast delivery. Qualifications

Education/Experience:
 A Bachelorʼs degree or Masterʼs degree in Engineering, Statistics, Atmospheric Science, or Computer Science is required.

Additional Qualifications/Experience:
 Experience in power systems, electric grid operations, energy markets or energy load forecasting. Working knowledge of basic statistics for forecast validation and comparison. Familiarity with time series analysis, artificial intelligence, and decision support systems

Certificates and Licenses:
 There are no certificates or licenses required.

Language Ability:
 Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written. Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:
 Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.

Reasoning Ability:
 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Attention to detail is imperative.

Computer Skills:
 Experience with computer programming and scripting in a UNIX/Linux environment. Familiarity with MySQL or another relational database.

Work Environment:
 The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate as compared to a private office with light traffic and computer printers.

Travel:
 Travel for communication and presentations to clients and for professional development may be required.

This position requires frequent use of the telephone and computer while communicating with internal and external customers and vendors. Employee will sit for several hours each day but will also need mobility and ability to stand and walk for periods of time. Employee may need to lift up to 10 pounds on occasion. May require working under stressful conditions due to deadlines and time constraints.
