Analyst III (R14-127)
The primary functions of the Corporate Planning area are to provide financial leadership and discipline to the company, provide effective project management leadership on strategic initiatives, facilitate effective communication between PGE management and stakeholders, provide leadership for process improvements and efficiencies and integrate enterprise risk management into organizational decision making.
This position will provide support and be under the direction of the senior load forecast analyst. The purpose of this position is to model (formulate, develop, calculate) and publish the short- and long-term energy, load and peak forecast. This includes maintaining historical data and outputs that pertain to the load forecasting process. This position requires strong statistical, economic, modeling, programming and database management skills, along with excellent oral and written skills. This position also requires the execution of sound judgment related to the interpretation of statistical results used to develop and update the company's load forecast.
Top candidates will have:
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Statistics
• Three to five years of statistical modeling and analytical experience
• Ability to perform economic and energy demand analysis
• Ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables
• Advanced knowledge of SAS and EViews and/or similar statistical software or programming languages
• Good knowledge of Excel and Word
• Good human relations and oral and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to clearly present multiple options and make action plan recommendations
