Position-Related Responsibilities
- Production of customer, load, and revenue forecast updates for TEP, UNS Electric, and UNS Gas
- Maintain and develop databases in support of the forecast updates and customer analytics
- Build and maintain business relationships in support of the forecast updates and customer analytics
- Contribute to the development of customer segmentation and targeted marketing efforts
- Provide analytical support for regulatory processes
- Contribute to statistical and analytical studies in support of enhancing understanding of customer characteristics and needs with the goal of improving customer experience
- Provide cross-organization support and guidance for analytical projects and initiatives.
- Customer Analytics & Data Analyst I: Responsible for individual projects under the direct supervision of the Supervisor or a more senior Analyst. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated analytical skills. Demonstrated leadership and innovative skills. Demonstrated skill in the use of personal computer applications including Microsoft Office. Project management skills including the ability to multitask, prioritize, set and meet deadlines, work independently, and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or STEM field, or 4 years of relevant experience. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Evidence of analytical skills and exposure to a programming language.
- Customer Analytics & Data Analyst II: Responsible for individual projects with guidance as required from the Supervisor or a more senior Analyst. Minimum Qualifications: Meets the standards for hire as Analyst I. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or STEM field, or 4 years of relevant experience. Exposure to a programming language. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of relevant experience in the utility industry. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Experience with SAS or other statistical programming language. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Demonstrated practical application of statistical methodologies.
- Customer Analytics & Data Analyst Senior: Assist junior analysts on assigned projects. Minimum Qualifications: Meets the standards for hire as Analyst II. Demonstrated leadership ability. Experience with SAS or other statistical programming language. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Demonstrated practical application of statistical methodologies. Preferred Qualifications: Five years of demonstrated relevant experience in the utility industry or a quantitative/analytical role. Ability to communicate results of studies to senior management. Ability to work independently with little or no need for day-to-day supervision. Experience in the application of forecasting methods on real-world data.
